Terms of Service
Effective date: 25 June 2026 Last updated: 10 August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the WeCollect website, web application, and related services at getwecollect.com (collectively, the "Service"), operated by WeCollect Group, LLC ("WeCollect," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live (typically 18), you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. The Service
WeCollect is a hobbyist tool for tracking, organizing, and sharing trading-card collections. Features include collection tracking (binders, graded "Vault" cases, sealed products), a camera-based card scanner, market-value estimates, social features (profiles, friends/following, messaging, posts, teams, challenges, trades, and Card Claims), virtual cosmetics, and optional paid features. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time.
3. Accounts
- You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Keep your password secure and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
- Provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
- You may not create an account using another person's identity, use offensive or infringing display names/handles (these are subject to automated and manual moderation), or maintain multiple accounts to abuse promotions, voting, or limited drops.
- Authentication is handled through Google Firebase Authentication; we never see or store your password.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post or transmit content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation;
- Harass, abuse, dox, or harm other users;
- Upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access, probe or test the vulnerability of the Service, or circumvent security, rate limits, or moderation;
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service, or use bots/automation except as expressly permitted;
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose not authorized by us, or to facilitate fraud;
- Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
We use automated filters and human review to moderate names and user content and may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms.
5. User content
"User Content" means anything you submit to the Service (profile details, avatars/banners, posts, comments, messages, collection data, team/challenge/claim details, etc.).
- You retain ownership of your User Content.
- You grant WeCollect a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute your User Content solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service (for example, showing your public profile to others, delivering your messages, and rendering your collection). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content others have shared/reposted, backups, or where retention is required by law.
- You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the rights to submit it.
- We may, but are not obligated to, monitor, remove, or refuse any User Content at our discretion.
6. Trading-card data, market values, and no financial advice
The Service displays card images, set data, grading populations, and estimated market values aggregated from third-party sources (including Scrydex, eBay, and others). This information is provided "as is" for convenience only.
- Values are estimates and may be inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable. They are not appraisals, offers, guarantees, or financial or investment advice.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any card data or valuation.
- You are responsible for your own collecting, buying, selling, and grading decisions.
7. Social features, trades, and Card Claims
The Service lets users connect, message, trade, and host "Card Claims" (community drop lists). These are peer-to-peer interactions between users. WeCollect is not a party to, and is not responsible for, any agreement, trade, transaction, shipment, payment, or dispute between users. We do not verify the identity, ownership, or conduct of users and provide no escrow or guarantee. Interact with others at your own risk and use independent, secure methods for any real-world exchange of cards or money. Card Claims hosting may be limited to designated roles (e.g., Content Creators and staff).
8. Purchases, subscriptions, and virtual items
Some features are paid. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card number. On iOS, purchases made in the WeCollect app are processed by Apple through your App Store account, and refunds for those purchases are handled by Apple under its own policies.
- Subscriptions (e.g., "Pro"). Paid plans renew automatically for the billing period you select until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. iOS subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your App Store account settings. Prices may change with notice.
- Virtual currency ("Shards") and cosmetics. Shards and cosmetic items are a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use a digital feature within the Service. They have no monetary value, are not redeemable for cash, and are not your property. We may modify, regulate, revoke, or eliminate virtual items or their availability at any time. Real-money Shard purchases credit your account after payment is confirmed.
- Refunds. Except where required by law, and except for iOS purchases as described above, all purchases are final and non-refundable, including subscription periods already started and virtual currency/items.
- Taxes. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
9. Third-party services and affiliate links
The Service relies on and links to third parties, including Google Firebase, Stripe, Scrydex, eBay, OpenAI, Discord, and retailers such as VaultX. Your use of those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or content. Affiliate disclosure: Some outbound links (for example to eBay and VaultX) are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you.
10. Intellectual property
- The Service, including its software, design, logos, and original content, is owned by WeCollect and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or create derivative works except as permitted by law.
- Card names, images, set logos, and related trademarks and copyrights belong to their respective owners. WeCollect is an independent fan-made tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or approved by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Creatures Inc., GAME FREAK, Wizards of the Coast, Disney, Ravensburger, Bandai, Riot Games, PSA, CGC, Beckett, or any other rights holder. Such material is used for identification and informational purposes.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or for any lawful reason. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA (INCLUDING VALUATIONS) WILL BE ACCURATE.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WECOLLECT AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR COLLECTION VALUE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $50. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WeCollect and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice (for example, in-app or by email). Your continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
16. Governing law; arbitration; class-action waiver
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT AND TO HAVE A JURY TRIAL.
- Governing law. These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the Service are governed by the laws of the United States, including the Federal Arbitration Act, and, to the extent state law applies, the laws of the State in which WeCollect Group, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- Informal resolution first. Before starting an arbitration or other proceeding, you agree to first contact us at support@getwecollect.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve the dispute informally.
- Binding individual arbitration. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you and WeCollect agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies. The arbitrator has exclusive authority to resolve any dispute, except that a court (not the arbitrator) decides the enforceability of this arbitration agreement. Judgment on the arbitration award may be entered by any court with jurisdiction.
- Class-action waiver. You and WeCollect agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated, or representative action. The arbitrator may not consolidate or join more than one person's claims.
- 30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing support@getwecollect.com from your account email with a statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
- Exceptions. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in court for intellectual-property infringement, unauthorized access, or misuse of the Service.
